GENERAL INFORMATION:
MATERIALS: Our flower sleeves, sheets and cello rolls are made of Polypropylene (PP), a thermoplastic polymer. All of our products are RECYCLABLE #5.
CPP (Cast Polypropylene): is transparent film which is water proof, and easy to heat seal. It is softer and less transparent than BOPP and is used most commonly for protection of cut flowers. It can be made easily with vent holes or micro-perforation.
BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene): is plastic which has been stretched in and across the machine direction, thus the name biaxially oriented polypropylene. Biaxial orientation increases the strength and clarity of the film, making it stiffer and clearer than CPP. It is easy to coat/print on giving a high end look. Bopp is used most commonly for wrapping cut flowers being sold to the end consumer.
FIBERWRAP: is made of PET, which is a spun non-woven plastic with the look and feel of fabric. It is water proof, recyclable and ideal for use with fresh flowers.
VENTED SLEEVES: are made with holes approximately the size of a “hole punch”.
MICRO-PERFORATED SLEEVES: are made using a “Hot Needle” making close even rows of pin point holes all over the surface of the sleeve.
SATIN SLEEVES: are made of High Density Polypropylene. They are white frosted with vent holes and are primarily used for potted plants.
SEALED BOTTOM SLEEVES: have been heat sealed at the bottom opening of the sleeve to hold water inside the sleeve.
HANDLE BAG SLEEVES: All of our handle bag sleeves have sealed bottoms which hold your stems in water for convenient take away. They feature a horizontal oval cut out at the top on both sides of the sleeve to provide a hand hold.
MIL: Mil is the measurement of the thickness of the plastic. We carry 1.2mil, 1.6mil, and 2.0mil clear sleeves, sheets and rolls. Most of our printed sleeves are Bopp 1.6 mil.
